Department of Chemistry was established in 1950 and covers an area of 908.98 sq.m. The Department offers different programs like B.Sc(Chemistry), B.Sc(Industrial Chemistry), M.Sc(Chemistry) and Ph.D(Chemistry). Numbers of Students pursuing B.Sc(Chemistry) is 1354 approx., B.Sc(Industrial Chemistry) is Twenty Eight, M.Sc(Chemistry) is Fifty Three and Ph.D. is Twenty One. There are Twenty Faculty members in the department with Eleven having Ph.D(Chemistry) Degree.
Library and Research Lab in the department provides additional features to its Infrastructure. The Faculty members provide excellent teaching and assessment. on the basis of syllabus decided by University. HOD deserves a mention for efficient utilisation of grants provided by Principal on the basis of norms and requirements of department.
