Department of Economics was established in 1971 and cover an area of 9.3 sq.m.(Staff Room). The Department offers programs like B.A. and M.A under SFC. Numbers of Students pursuing B.A is Four Hundered Fifty Four and in M.A number of students is Sixty Four. There are Three Faculty members including One SFC Faculty, One Faculty having Ph.D Degree in the department.
M.A. (Economics) under SFC was started in 2005. It has a glorious part,full of achievements and success in the field of Higher Education. The main aim of the department is to develop harmony among students and to inculculate the habit for Development and prosperous Nation, so that when they step in the world of professional platform that may be strong, dedicated and hardworking.

On every Saturday, we organise group discussion. Library and Research Lab in the department provides additional features to its Infrastructure. The Faculty members provide excellent teaching and assessment. on the basis of syllabus decided by University. HOD deserves a mention for efficient utilisation of grants provided by Principal on the basis of norms and requirements of departments.
